About the Initiative
Created by the Eva Lee Parker Fund, the Reclaim You! Tote Bag Initiative aims to remove the barriers to escaping for victims of intimate partner violence by providing immediate necessities in a discreet bag accessible throughout the community. Our mission is to #DisruptDomesticViolence!
The Reclaim You Tote Bag Initiative Launches

How We Help
The necessities
Each tote bag includes many of the necessities to escape quickly, such as toiletries, a prepaid cellphone, gas and gift cards, local resources, and first aid kits.
In the community
We partner with local businesses, nonprofits, and community members as pick-up locations for the tote bags.
No Questions
Our partners will not ask any questions from anyone seeking a tote bag. This provides victims with the ability to feel supported and not judged.
How You Can Support

Become a Community Partner
Community partners can have up to five (5) tote bags at their location. You don't have to ask any questions to the person requesting the information. Need more info? Download the Community Partner Agreement.
Volunteer for the Launch Event
During our launch event on October 7, 10am - 12pm, our volunteers can pack tote bags, write encouragement notes to victims, or drop off bags to our community partners. Sign up here.

ABOUT THE EVA LEE PARKER FUND
The Eva Lee Parker Fund is the philanthropic initiative of Courageous SHIFT and is named after the founder's grandmother, also a survivor. Our mission is to #DisruptDomesticViolence.
The Fund supports victims of domestic violence in several ways:
- Provide emergency financial support for Black women experiencing intimate partner violence. Funds can be used for travel, food, housing, and other immediate needs.
- Provide free programming that educates and informs the community about the impact of domestic violence on its members and supports survivors in healing.
- Provide the "Reclaim You!" tote bag to victims who are escaping an abusive relationship. The tote bag includes necessities needed to immediately leave the home.
This fund is fiscally sponsored by The Sanctuary in the City, a registered 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
